PR Writing and Structure
There are various elements in an SEO campaign which take place off-page. These include press releases, which are different to blogs and articles, yet require a similar level of care and consideration if they are going to achieve maximum results. As this will be categorized as news, the subject of a press release needs to be worthy of the title. As with articles, a PR cannot just be a blatant sales pitch, crammed with keywords and links. If it is, search engines, ethical websites and users are likely to ignore it. In this video, two of our experts offer advice and tips on:
- Composition and format of press releases
- How you should structure the content of your press release
- How a press release can boost your company image
- Why a press release should include information on your company
Whilst it may seem at first seem unlikely that your company will have regular information worthy of a press release, the subject can be anything related to the sector your business is in. For example, if there has been a recent shift within the industry that could affect your company, then a press release can feature your response to it. A good PR, when done well, can provide great visibility for a company, while telling the readers much about who they are what they do. It can also provide backlinks as a natural part of the content, with keywords implemented organically into the text, as long as they are relevant to the subject and not merely used for the sake of it.
